I’m back!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’m back from my trip to Virginia, and I’m slowing getting back into my routine. While I was gone I did a session with my sweet little bestie! I’ve missed her so much, and we had so much fun during her session! We went to historic Fort Monroe in Hampton, Virginia. The place is absolutely gorgeous. There is so much history there and the buildings are beautiful! It has always been, and always will be my “happy place.”

Hayden is a total threenager and absolute diva. She’ll be 3 in a few months, and getting her wiggly self I love doing sessions with children. I’m a big kid myself, so when it comes to shooting their sessions, I let them do their own thing. Trying to get a little one to sit still is often times a struggle, and their expressions usually seem unnatural. I’m not a fan of that. I want to capture them in their element, where they feel most comfortable and real. With this particular session, that’s exactly what happened.to sit still wasn’t going to happen, so we ran around. We both had fun, she produced natural smiles, and I burnt off some A LOT of calories! It was a win win for everyone.

There was a small hiccup when she dropped her fruit snacks that she was being bribed with. The session came to a screeching halt until they were located in the grass, but the second she had them back in her hand, she was off and running again. There’s nothing sweeter than the giggles of a child who’s having fun!

At one point, her sassy attitude emerged. I couldn’t let it slip away, so of course I captured it. This has to be my favorite image from the session!

Towards the end of the session, the camera was turned on not only Hayden, but myself. I’m not normally one who likes to be in front of the camera, but I love this because it’s definitely a memory I want to keep.

While I’m back from my trip, and my happy place, I’m excited to get back into the swing of things!

Hello again super awesome people! I wanted to give a little introduction since a lot of you are new. This is going to be just a brief intro. I’ll be live streaming with you in the next week or so as part of a meet and greet.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Elizabeth, owner of Elizabeth Miller Photography here in Akron, Ohio. I’m a military wife and a business owner. I don’t have human children yet, but I do have 4 furry ones. I’m originally from Zanesville, but shortly after I got married, we moved to Virginia for my husband’s job in the military. We recently moved back to Ohio, and we’ll be here for a few years before we move again. Trust me… I need warmer weather and beaches, but who doesn’t want that, right? Until that time comes, I’m here in Akron with all of you wonderful people, and I would love to capture your memories! I specialize in both family and children’s photography, but I dabble in a little bit of everything, with a few minor exceptions. I’ll be honest, weddings are a little intimidating. One day I’ll dabble there too!

So, how do you get in touch with me to learn more about the services I offer or to book your session? Well, that’s easy! You’re already on my website, which has a contact page that you can get to by clicking contact at the top of the page or by clicking here. You can also find me on Facebook by clicking here. I’m also on Instagram @emillerphotography.1, plus I’m on Periscope @elizabethmillerphoto. You can find me pretty much everywhere! Okay, so I don’t just dabble in different types of photography…
